Closing COT's Festival Season is Benjamin Britten's Owen Wingrave. Like Verdi, Mozart, and Wagner before him, Britten brings an extraordinary sense of theatre to his musical treatment of complex subjects. A perfect example of this is his penultimate opera Owen Wingrave, a haunting story about family, war, and expectations. The dynamic duo of director Ken Cazan and designer Peter Harrison bring their remarkable creativity to Owen Wingrave as they did to COT's past productions of Death in Venice and Duke Bluebeard's Castle.
