A limited number of stand-by vouchers will be available the day of the performance. Stand-by vouchers do not guarantee admittance. Stand-by voucher holders must be in line at the designated locations 30 minutes prior to curtain. Stand-by voucher holders may be granted a seat should any reserved ticket holders not be present at the time of seating. Ushers will direct voucher holders to these locations. If the reserved ticket holder arrives, the voucher holder will be asked to forfeit the seat.

To obtain a stand-by voucher, visit the Harris Theater Box Office at 12 noon on the day of the performance until supplies last.

Chicago Dancing Festival 2009 kicks off with “New Voices,” a free program of works by a hot new generation of contemporary choreographers.

Aszure Barton’s “Ah! Crudel” performed by dancers from the New York-based Aszure Barton and Artists;
Jessica Lang’s “To Familiar Spaces in Dream,” performed by the Richmond Ballet;
Robert Battle’s “Train,” performed by River North Chicago Dance Company;
Edwaard Liang’s “Age of Innocence,” performed by The Joffrey Ballet;
Trey McIntyre’s “Just,” performed by dancers from Oregon Ballet Theatre.

Chicago Dancing Festival runs Aug. 18-22 and also includes free events at the Museum of Contemporary Art and the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Millennium Park.
