Since its creation in 2000, the UBS Verbier Festival Orchestra has achieved an outstanding international reputation for quality, vitality and commitment. The Orchestra of over 100 musicians aged 17 to 29 from over 30 countries is now in its eighth year and continues to delight its international audiences.

The Orchestra was founded jointly in 2000 by UBS, the financial services group, and Martin Engstroem, Executive Director of the Verbier Festival & Academy. Their common goal was to support young talents from different cultures and nationalities, giving them the opportunity to work and tour with leading international conductors and soloists, and to add to their experience on a professional level.
