Just one month before America heads to the polls, acclaimed author and observer of life and culture Fran Lebowitz – beloved for her acerbic observational wit and world view – will present “A State of the Union Conversation.” Lebowitz was recently the subject of Martin Scorsese’s HBO documentary “Public Speaking.” She is a renowned cultural satirist, purveyor of urban cool and witty chronicler of the “me decade.”

Considered by many as the heir to Dorothy Parker, Lebowitz will engage in a live, onstage conversation, offering
insights on timely issues such as gender, race, gay rights and the media, as well as her own pet peeves –
including celebrity culture, tourists and strollers. The Lebowitz quote, “Success didn’t spoil me, I’ve always been insufferable,” says it all. Don’t miss this special evening of conversation with Lebowitz moderated by Martha Lavey, Artistic Director of Steppenwolf Theater Company, followed by a lively interaction with audience members.
