The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, now in its 12th year in residence at the Harris, makes its PNC Family Series debut this season with a musical journey into the up-close and friendly world of chamber music. In Leaping Leopold!, featuring a mix of performance by CMS musicians and narration by Bruce Adolphe, Mozart’s father appears in our time to tell the world that he is really responsible for his son’s genius. Leopold says he can teach anyone to be a musical genius…and he does it right on stage!
Students from the Merit School of Music performing:
Olivia Doolin, violin (9th grade)
Camila Morena, violin (9th grade)
Na’ilah Shahid, viola (10th grade)
Jacob Lin, cello (9th grade)
What is the PNC Family Series?
PNC Family Series performances offer high-quality, engaging programming designed to cultivate the next generation of arts lovers. These hour-long performances are designed for children ages 4 and older and fun for the entire family, with opportunities to meet and interact with artists following each performance. And as always, audiences are encouraged to laugh, clap, and experience the theater in their own way — no shushing allowed!
This program will be a Sensory Friendly/Relaxed performance, and will also be Audio-Described and Sign Language Interpreted. Additional resources will be available onsite for this program. We encourage patrons to download our Welcome Guide to learn more about the performance and Harris Theater resources.
