Internationally acclaimed choreographer — Pacific Northwest Ballet’s first Resident Choreographer and Charlotte Ballet's Artistic Director — Alejandro Cerrudo brings It Starts Now, a silky, cerebral, and spell-binding work to the Harris. It Starts Now is an invitation to be fully engaged in the present and a contemplation of the nonlinear nature of time. Eight dancers deconstruct the space of the theater in this dramatic, mind-bending work, Cerrudo’s first independent project, co-produced by Joyce Theater Productions.

Time is the substance from which I am made. Time is a river which carries me along, but I am the river; it is a tiger that devours me, but I am the tiger; it is a fire that consumes me, but I am the fire. — Jorge Luis Borges
