Hubbard Street Dance Chicago
This collection of four contrasting works was designed specifically to showcase Hubbard Street’s “dancers of spectacular versatility” (The Los Angeles Times). Each performance features a new work by Robyn Mineko Williams, winner of a 2013 Choreography Fellowship from the Princess Grace Foundation–USA, with costumes by fashion designer Hogan McLaughlin; and Resident Choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo’s 12th World Premiere for Hubbard Street. Completing the program are Passomezzo (1989), an athletic, romantically tough duet by Israeli dance artist Ohad Naharin; and Casi-Casa (2009) by Swedish master choreographer Mats Ek.
