20th Anniversary National Cuatro Festival

Puerto Rican Arts Alliance

The Puerto Rican Arts Alliance (PRAA) is proud to host the Emmy Award-winning National Cuatro Festival (NCF).  This annual music and cultural festival is one of a kind, and brings internationally acclaimed cuatristas and talented Latin musicians from Puerto Rico and beyond to Chicago. This year, in celebration of our 20th Anniversary, NCF will showcase legendary singer Ismael Miranda, guest singer Yolandita Monge, renowned cuatrista and composer Luis Sanz, eighteen big band members from the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra, director Angel “Cucco” Peña, and PRAA’s own Latin Music Project Ensemble.  NCF will also honor painter Arnaldo Roche for his artistic accomplishments, and his life long commitment to supporting the next generation of Puerto Rican artists. Visit the PRAA website for more information.

A portion of this year’s event proceeds will support our Chicago for Puerto Rico Artistic Vitality Fund to help artists from Puerto Rico impacted by Hurricane Maria.
