Akram Khan’s Giselle

English National Ballet

The iconic ballet, reimagined.

One of the greatest romantic ballets of all time, Giselle is the first full-length ballet choreographed by Akram Khan.

The iconic story of love, betrayal and redemption has been given a haunting reinterpretation with stunning costumes and set by Academy-Award winning designer Tim Yip (Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon), an ‘ominous, gothic’ (The Observer) adaptation of Adolphe Adam’s original score by composer Vincenzo Lamagna, dramaturgy from Ruth Little and lighting design from Tony Award-winner Mark Henderson.

Co-Produced by:  Manchester International Festival and Sadler’s Wells, London Supported by the Giselle Production Syndicate and Arts Council England.

This performance will include live music performed by Chicago Philharmonic Society.

Run time: two hours, including a 20 minute intermission

There will be no late seating for this performance. We strongly recommend that all patrons arrive early. Once the performance begins, late arriving patrons may watch the first act from a screen in the lobby and will be seated during intermission.
