Saxophonist and bandleader Lakecia Benjamin, one of NPR’s “Women to Watch,” brings her electric stage presence and fiery sax work to the Harris Theater for the first time. Benjamin and her band SoulSquad will bring their dance floor-friendly grooves to the Theater’s second annual rooftop jazz concert, overlooking beautiful Millennium Park.

Lakecia Benjamin – saxophone, vocals
Melodie Nicholson – vocals
Shelly Spruill – bass
Eric Brown – drums
Devone Allison – keyboards

The rooftop will open at 5:00PM. The performance will be a 90-minute set with no intermission, rain or shine.

There will be two seating options for this performance. Standing room only tickets, with access to the lawn, are available for $15. Tickets for general admission seating, which include a removable chair, are available for $25. To view a map of the seating areas, please click here.

Patrons with standing room only tickets may bring a blanket for the lawn, but chairs are not allowed. Outside food and beverage will not be permitted. Beverages will be available for purchase from Harris Theater bars. Food pop-ups will be located on the rooftop with food options available for purchase. This year’s food pop-ups will be Smoke Daddy, Remington’s, and Pink Taco.

Elevator access to the rooftop will be available through the Millennium Park Welcome Center at 201 E. Randolph Drive — the black glass building just west of the Harris Theater. Accessible seating is available. Please call the box office at 312.334.7777 or email with any requests or questions.
