21st Annual National Cuatro Festival — “New Generations Breaking Borders"

Puerto Rican Arts Alliance

The 21st National Cuatro Festival presents “New Generations Breaking Borders,” a spectacular concert of 70 young emerging musicians performing folk and popular music from Puerto Rico. Performers include the Midwest Young Artists Symphony Orchestra, Puerto Rico’s Rondalla de Humacao, singer Hermes Croatto and the Latin Music Project Ensemble. This symphonic youth concert, directed by Maestro Roselín Pabón & Maestro Allan Dennis, is a Puerto Rico & USA mainland music project collaboration following the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.  Join us as we embark on a musical journey with no boundaries!

The 2019 NCF is dedicated to Maestro Roselín Pabón for pioneering the cuatro instrument into symphony music.

Approximate run time: 160 minutes with one intermission.
