Michael Gordon’s music has been described by The New Yorker’s Alex Ross as displaying “the fury of punk rock, the nervous brilliance of free jazz and the intransigence of classical modernism.” This program celebrates his work with a performance of his notoriously difficult Hyper alongside music by several rising stars he has influenced over his 30-year career, including David T. Little’s obscure clues and shiny objects for solo violin.
