The Banchet Awards is an annual celebration of culinary excellence in Chicago, gathering Chicagoland’s foremost chefs, culinary and beverage professionals, and restaurant enthusiasts. 2027 marks the event's 25th year, and this milestone will be celebrated with a move to the Harris Theater. This year's event will honor two Chicago legends: Chef Paul Kahan who will receive the 2027 Culinary Excellence Award, and Manny’s Cafeteria & Delicatessen who will receive the 2027 Iconic Restaurant Award. Named after Chef Jean Banchet and with the loving support of his devoted wife, Doris, The Banchet Foundation and Awards pay homage to his legacy and support the Chicagoland restaurant community.
