Founded on the pillars of excellence, empowerment, and education, Black Girls Dance® has carved a distinct niche in the dance world as a source of inspiration and creativity. With a mission deeply rooted in highlighting and showcasing the talents of dancers of color, our organization has emerged as a vibrant community where passion meets purpose. At the heart of Black Girls Dance® is our 25-member Junior and Senior Ensemble, a powerhouse collective of talent and dedication. Complementing our pre-professional ensemble is our growing Academy, home to over 150 students who are nurtured to explore their potential in a supportive and enriching environment. Black Girls Dance® is proud to present "ICONS," a captivating showcase set to grace the stage at the Harris Theater on June 2, 2024. This production is a tribute to the legendary figures who have shaped the arts, culture, and society. Through the universal language of dance, "ICONS" celebrates the resilience, creativity, and influence of these trailblazers, inviting audiences on a journey through innovation and emotion.
