The National Hellenic Museum Trial Series takes legal cases and controversies from the pages of history and litigates them to demonstrate the enduring relevance of ancient history and support the mission of the National Hellenic Museum.
After twenty years away, Odysseus returns to Ithaca from the Trojan War and kills more than one hundred men who have taken up residence in his home and are trying to take his wife and throne. Was this an instance of lawful self-defense or premeditated murder disguised as justice? Join us at the Trial of Odysseus to hear the case argued by some of you decide: Was the most-cunning warrior of the Trojan War a hero or a criminal?
