The 2025–26 Chamber Music Series features four breathtaking performances by the incomparable Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. The series begins in November with a celebration of the viola’s expressive power, exploring a range of moods, from Vaughan Williams’s haunting Phantasy Quintet to Mozart’s joyful C-major Quintet. In December, the iconic holiday tradition returns with all six of Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos — inspiring, exuberant, and festive. Works by Brahms, Shostakovich, and Schubert highlight landmark moments throughout the composers’ lives for the third performance in March. The season concludes in May with a program featuring works by Saint-Saëns, Vieuxtemps, and Fauré, reveling in the enduring allure of 19th-century French chamber music.
