Performance Run Time: 4 hours
This year’s 3Arts Awards Celebration marks our most ambitious investment in artists since the height of the pandemic, with more than $890,000 in grants supporting 63 remarkable individuals across Chicago and Southern Illinois.
For the first time, we are expanding the number of 3Arts Awards. Instead of our longtime tradition of 10 awards for Chicago artists, this year, 17 artists will receive a 3Arts Award: five additional awards in Chicago and two newly established awards for artists in Carbondale.
Together we’ll applaud:
- Seventeen 3Arts Awardees, each receiving a $30,000 grant and selected by national jury panels.
- Forty Make a Wave Artists, nominated by past awardees to receive $2,000 grants for their indispensable contributions to our city.
- Six Next Level Artists, chosen by jury panels to receive $50,000 awards in a groundbreaking program that provides second awards to past 3Arts recipients.
The evening will feature dynamic performances by celebrated past awardees, including:
- The Chicago Immigrant Orchestra (featuring 2024 Awardee Wanees Zarour)
- Michel Rodriguez (2013 Awardee) and Jacinda Ratcliffe (2021 Make a Wave Awardee) with choreography by Sylvia Hernandez-DiStasi (2014 Awardee)
Event Schedule
- 5:30pm – Welcome Reception
- 6:30pm – Awards Presentation & Performances
- After Party – Immediately following, with a light dinner buffet, signature cocktail, and the chance to meet this year’s awardees.
