About Heidi Stober
American soprano Heidi Stober, who Opera News exclaimed as a “distinctly American lyric soprano that makes the rest of the world listen,” is enjoying an international career with a crystalline voice and method-like commitment to stage acting. She last appeared with Music of the Baroque in February 2018.
In the 2024/25 season, Heidi Stober made her debut at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden singing her acclaimed portrayal of Gretel in Hansel und Gretel, as well as appearances at the Deutsche Oper Berlin as Zdenka in Arabella, Pat Nixon in Nixon in China, the Semperoper Dresden as Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, and the title role in Thea Musgrave’s Mary, Queen of Scots with English National Opera. In concert, Heidi Stober made her with the San Francisco Symphony in Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 with Esa-Pekka Salonen, performed Mozart’s Requiem with the Musikkollegium Winterthur in Switzerland with Roberto González-Monjas, sang the role of Pamina with Sir Donald Runnicles and the Grand Teton Music Festival, and appeared as soloist win Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. In solo recital, she appeared at the Oxford International Song Festival, the New England Conservatory in Jordan Hall, at Deutsche Oper Berlin, and with the Collaborative Arts Institute of Chicago.
About Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen
Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen brings his “astonishingly beautiful” (The Guardian) instrument to a broad range of repertoire spanning the Baroque to the contemporary. Acclaimed as both a “young star” and “complete artist” by the New York Times, the "extravagantly gifted” countertenor is “poised to redefine what’s possible for singers of this distinctive voice type” (San Francisco Chronicle). He last appeared with Music of the Baroque in September 2022.
In the 2024-25 season, Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen created Ismael in the world premiere of Mikael Karlsson and Royce Vavrek’s adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s Fanny and Alexander at La Monnaie de Munt in Brussels. He also returned to Deutsche Oper Berlin for Sir George Benjamin’s Written on Skin. Highlights of his concert schedule included his debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and his French debut performing Vivaldi at the Festival de Froville. He performed in recital at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and in Houston and Minneapolis/St. Paul.
About Hannah De Priest
Hannah De Priest is a fearless performer of a wide range of lyric soprano repertoire. Hailed a “breakout artist” (Boston Globe) with “a voice that is theater itself” (Classique News), recent credits include her Kennedy Center debut (Opera Lafayette, La serva padrona), European debut at the Innsbruck Early Music Festival, (Gilde, L’amazzone corsara), and multiple productions with Boston Early Music Festival. The performance of Gluck—Orfeo ed Euridice on September 15 marks her soloist debut with Music of the Baroque.
Hannah De Priest’s “glittering, easy soprano” (Merkur) is equally at home on the opera stage and in chamber music and she is especially renowned for her “masterful” (Olyrix) singing of Baroque repertoire. Her critically acclaimed debut performing French Baroque cantatas with Les Délices was hailed as “sensational” (Schmopera), and more engagements with the renowned ensemble have followed, including the ensemble’s debut concert at the Boston Early Music Festival. Other recent engagements include appearances with Chicago Opera Theater, Haymarket Opera Company, the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, Ars Lyrica Houston, The Newberry Consort, Madison Bach Musicians, and more. On the concert stage, she has interpreted numerous important oratorio works with orchestras including the Columbus Symphony, Elgin Symphony, Elmhurst Symphony, Bach Society of St. Louis, Billings Symphony Orchestra, Carmel Bach Festival Orchestra, and American Bach Soloists.
